I can't speak for either of these but I do know that I am very pleased with my Maverick ET-73 . Mine was a gift but you can find these for around $40, if you look online. :tup: :salut:

I'm with OUP; I use a maverick for non instant read temps and happy with it... May consider others when this one wears out or breaks :D

The smoke is brought to you by the same people that make the therma pen. Very well known for making quality kitchen and grilling thermometers. If I had the money to spend I’d go with it.

I also agree with everyone else that you can’t go wrong with a Maverick.

Thermoworks has a new remote thermometer that's wi-fi and has 4 channels instead of the 2 channel Smoke. They had the Smoke onsale for 79$ couple of weeks ago, and even though my Maverick works perfect, I gifted myself one.
