Music when grilling or barbecuing, please share

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Nov 03, 2018 7:16 am

Hi there.

I bet a lot of you play music when you're out watching your pit or grill? For my self I like to play different music but for a while I have seen playing this playlist. I don't like the music too modern, so a bit older musuc from me. Here is my playlist:

https://open.spotify.com/user/11867411/ ... bRdlrwPOPw

Anybody else who wish to share what you're playing while cooking?

I would love to hear what other listens to.

Music is MANDATORY whenever I'm Grilling, Smoking or Piddlin in the Shop

and my Radio is always tuned to Mz. Mary McCoy and Others at KSTAR 99.7

Sometimes, during the summer, we are treated to unwanted, earsplitting, ground-shaking 'music' from the people in back of our property. :laughing7:

That can be a big problem. I don't either like loud music from neighbors. It must be in such a volume that you're not a pain in the butt of your surroundings.

Y"all need my old bass cabinet with the 3 - 15" JBLs to change their volume for them - - - - had some neighbors in the Rockies that tried Boomin us out but they decided that mutual volume adjustments worked better. :banghead: :laughing7: Especially when it was Woodstock against the Grand Ol Opry

Yup music and grillin go hand in hand. Mine depends on my mood. Usually some type of Red Dirt / Texas Country. Jason Boland, Robert Earl Keen, Turnoike Troubadours etc. or classic rock. ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd type. During to summer when we are hanging by the pool it’s Roger Creager and Jimmy Buffett.

Weeknight cooks I usually listen to The Ticket, our local sports / guy talk radio station.

Love Amazon Prime Music. I can just roll with whatever I feel like.

It varies over time, but lately I've been listening to a lot of symphonic metal bands from northern Europe such as Nightwish, Within Temptation and Leaves Eyes. Not your normal musical taste for a 66 year old American.

I generally like the classics; Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, etc, but nobody wants to hear what I usually listen to. Lol :banghead:

Woodstock I might have tolerated...this was techno and rap.
