I was at Wally World last week and ran across a sale on the 22” Blackstone for $125.00
Unit comes with table, hood, and auxiliary hose to hook up a big propane tank.
After seasoning it, I baptized it with a couple El Reno Onion Burgers.

Hey 2 Guys, I am curious how this unit works. I have been looking to get one for my motorhome. Did you season it first using the oil and letting it burn in? It seems to be the perfect size to take with me on trips and to the races.

What kind of oil did you use to season it with 2 guys? That thing is the perfect size for traveling I am thinking.

Hey Grails, I seasoned with Canola oil. Heated the griddle to a little over 500 then applied a coat of oil and rubbed all around the inside and outsides too. Lowered the temp to 300 and repeated the process three more times. The next day I made the burgers and then the next morning cooked a whole pack of bacon which fit perfectly.
This unit is prefect for camping and you don't necessarily have to use the table that it comes with if you don't want to. A while back this style unit was on QVC for $139 for the griddle only. Wal Mart had it on sale as described for $125.00

Congrats and welcome to "Flat top Ville "....You will absolutely love that thing, over time you will be amazed at what can be cooked on it. Bacon is an excellent vehicle for seasoning your Blackstone in the future when you may need to re-season it.
I think bsooner will agree, the Blacker you get that top, the better your food will not only taste, but everything will cook more uniform.
You got a great deal on that, can't wait to see more Black Stone pics in the future :)

Ain't that just the cutest thing. I can certainly see a huge advantage over the 17" model. Great price too. Congrats and keep the food pics coming

Re: Joined the Blackstone family
Glad to see these posts. Today is my birthday and I asked for the Blackstone griddle. He kicked, he screamed, he ordered one. I will be impatiently waiting for the Blackstone 1560, 36 inches. Our son has a Blackstone and really likes his. Can't wait to get outta the kitchen and use it when it comes in. I know, it has to be seasoned first, just like all of our dutch ovens. Looking forward to this.

Get urself a lb of bacon and use that to season it. It works like a charm. No need to use any oil but u can if u prefer it over bacon.
And a BIG Happy Birthday :)
