My dad came from across the pond and never looked back. He tolerated the summers but he would always pipe back , Sure beats those cold miserable days in England. We learn to deal with the heat and thank god for Ice tea and a cold Dr.Pepper or Shiner!

I can't see what those are made of. We rode tubes on the lake in summer when we were kids..but they were actual, scorching-hot, black rubber.

Nah, nothing wrong with havin' a little fun, LOL.
Crazy thing is, it gets just as hot in the central valley here, BUT we don't have insane levels of humidity to go with it. Makes a HUGE difference.
