Lol, but actually true. Real winter with Temp below zero is so much better than temp around zero Celsius with rain and snow like slush and everything is wet. The cold is not so bad if you dress properly. You know it's not bad weather, only bad clothes.
I've mentioned it before but we have 4 distinct seasons and I like them all but at the end of each season I always look forward to the next.

I"ve tried to hang Sheetrock in minus 50 degree weather in the Rocky Mtns with almost zero humidity and I've fished for Speckled Trout in the Gulf of Mexico when the edges of the bay water was frozen. Let me assure you that I was Colder and Shaking beyond being able to cast my Bait standing in that Boat with 100% humidity all around.

Exactly. The interval between -5 to +5 is the worst. Minus 50 is seriously cold. Throw a cup of coffee in the air and it freezes instantly.OldUsedParts wrote:I"ve tried to hang Sheetrock in minus 50 degree weather in the Rocky Mtns with almost zero humidity and I've fished for Speckled Trout in the Gulf of Mexico when the edges of the bay water was frozen. That day my Drywalling pardnah threw the remains of his fast warm Coffee down on the slab next to a 2000 BTW Salamander Heater and it Froze instantly. Who would ever think that you could possibly be (feel) colder at Sea Level that at 10,000' ?

Re: My daily pic
Nice. You get real winter in Maine? Is the snow staying during winter or is melting away fast? How many months with snow during winter? I am curious because I've never been up there. We do get your lobsters here in Norway thoughCliffCarter wrote:From last winter, We had 3 storms of 16-22 inches(40-56 cm) in a 2 week period.
