Hey Boots!

Postby bsooner75 » Wed Sep 27, 2017 9:05 pm

A while back our resident yarn spinner (Boots) told us all about this old school greasy spoon burger joint in Denton.

So tonight the wife and I took our girls to watch our Sooners play the North Tx Mean Green in Volleyball…wasn’t much of a game, home didn’t treat our team very nice (sweep).

Looking for a place to eat before the game I noticed Mr Frosty was mighty close. It was the highlight of the night! Burgers l, onion rings and in house made root beer. We will definitely be going back!

Boots - thanks amigo for telling us about it!

Been a long time since I have seen a frosty root beer like that. Looks really good.

I grew up in Sanger, went to school in Denton, and it has always been a go to favorite when going home. Very little has changed since the early 60's when I was old enough to know where we were going. Definately worth the trip if in the area. Be ready for a "brain freeze", that root beer is so cold. :D :D

Just now picking this up since I've been out of town. Yep, Frosty's is one of the classics, can remember going there with my Dad in what had to be the late '60's to early 70's, and I don't they've changed as much as a napkin dispenser that whole time. Good burgers and KILLER ONION RINGS, fantastic shakes and floats. Highly, highly recommended, its on Boots' No. 1 list. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

Patronize the classics friends, so our kids can discover what they missed from OUR childhood.

I'm Boots, and I approved this message.

Yup. Back in Longview growing up we had a Dairy Cream (pay attention…wasn’t Queen) and a K&N root beer stand. This place was like the two had merged. Best of both!

Gargle search of the Interfog turned up no reference to Dairy Cream in Longview, but hope lives... they got one up in Ontario, in Canuck Country...
