OK! Loving my ribs, butt and the prices USA has to offer on your meat!
But that's not the question. Being a Kiwi, we "grill out" in all weather, even -10 here in Illinois I still stand by my steaks outside.
Now please tell me not to be so cheap, I know I am, but my $200 double gas/ charcoal grill has lasted 2 years, now the side burner (where I cook my skillet steaks rare) failed. Now the charcoal/smoker bottom has burnt through.
I like steaks rare. I like a long slow charcoal/smoke ribs and did fine with my cheapskate grill.
But it weathered and middle finger to it now.
Anyone made diy a combine quality grill where I can have ease of gas (turkey ring cooker on thick hot plate?) and a charcoal/smoker?
I have access to a welder, and Ann keen on something that might stay with the house as a beauty.
Cheers to meat, smoke and low n slow!
