Re: Sharing some color with Texas
One time back when I was a Deer Harvester I dropped a couple of quartered Whitetails by a Processor that had been recommend to me - - - I told him I wanted the usual backstrap and roast wrapped separate and the rest made into smoked link sauSAGE BUT I forgot to tell him NOT to use any Sage - - - - Well, when I picked the meat up and was putting it in my large coolers to take home I instantly knew from the smell of sage that I would be giving my sauSAGE away. Sorry Pals - - just don't like it.

When it comes to spices "I" am very uneducated and experienced - - - I guess it's just the life style that I've spent 75+ years acquiring - - - and except for BBQ and Grilling spices, it's pretty much salt, pepper, a little garlic, own-yawn and jalapenos that create my dishes - - - guess I should have gotten out more.

This is a pretty as they've been this year and aroma to die for
If you notice there's a Black and Yeller Pollenator that I had to battle for Camera Position.
He was joined by some other Pollenators and they were enjoying themselves in the bloom centers.
Note the Beautiful Bumble Bee (pollenator) in center
This was only the second blooming of the one I started with a cutting last year
and I'm very pleased with it's growth and performance.

Our sage is not as good as that. I use sage in my sage and onion stuffing for the cavity of a chicken. Using breadcrumbs and an egg and a few other things. Kids always first in for stuffing. Good shot of the bee too.

It was very quiet and peaceful. Caught a few trout. 11 yr old caught her first trout and had it for dinner. That was a huge deal…lots of fun.
