TL,

If you open up a BBQ Joint, you will be living the dream about 99% of all pitmasters. Go for it! I have often wondered if I would have success in the business.

We need to help you thunk of a name for the place...how about something related to the river?

Kimbell Bend BBQ

Brazos River BBQ

Parnells Place BBQ

What ya gonna name it? :D

Best wishes for a successful venture!!! Not sure of your location, I grew up about 15 miles from the Brazos in Caldwell, where are you in relation to Caldwell, Bryan/CS? Hoping to get down mid October for a long week-end...cheap airfare, time to fly.....oh, and I log on 3-4 times daily, mostly evenings....we users need to make a habit of hitting the flash chat when here!

Hello , wow, you are a long ways from home way up there in Maine!! I am in the Lake Whitney area on the upper end of the lake. I'm still kicking the bbq joint idea around, I have COPD & am on oxygen most of the day, but I am bored crazy! I'm gonna kick it around a few more hours to make a decision that I can live with! LOL!

TL, I like what Gator has come up with... I really like Brazos River BBQ, but Kimbell Bend BBQ has a ring to it as well.

What county are you in? Is that Johnson County? Johnson County BBQ?

I think that Brazos River, Kimbell Bend and Johnson County BBQ all sound like they are established places and I think that helps when opening a business.

Well guys, after a lot of thinking, praying, sleeping on it & weighing out all the pros & cons of it, I've decided that because of my health problems of not being able to breathe without an oxygen tank strapped to me of on a cart behind me, I'm not gonna do it, my time for doing that sort of thing has come & gone! I'm going to try to get a small camp trailer of some kind that don't cost a lot of money & I'm gonna start enjoying what life I have left instead of working my arse off like I have done all my life!! I'm close to the lake/river & I have a good boat, so I'm about to start enjoying life for a change, even if I do it with just me & my old bluedog! Thanks for all the well wishes & help with a name, but I'm gonna pass on it.
