Merlyn, our Collie Dog passed in his sleep last night. 13 years, 1 month and 7 days. He was a good old dog. Devoted and sly. Here is picture of him better days.

So sorry to hear about that Dat's. Sounds like it was a peaceful passing. I get so attached to Dogs. They truly are members of the family.. Our dog has been battling cancer for some time now. It's been a roller coaster ride with the emotions. One month good progress another month and the lesions are growing.

Merlyn sounds like he was a good dog. Sorry again for your loss!

Sorry to hear about your loss. We have several dogs ourselves and I know that it will be hard when the time comes...

Just give it some time and when you are ready, get a puppy to keep you company.

Thanks all for the kind words. When the time is right, we'll get another dog. Something a with a bit less on the grooming requirements next time. I'm going to lock this thread now so we can concentrate on the fun things and Q.
