The flyers came out and I want to go grocery shopping for the weekend before it's all gone. Will try to get on when I get back.

Has anyone bought ribs from wal mart? They will match prices and I presume it is the same as getting from Sam's.

We have bought meat from Walmart until we got ahold of some bad meat once. We stopped buying meat from Walmart. Sams seems to have better quality meat in my opinion. We buy all of our meat at Sams and knock on wood, never had a problem yet.

The WalMart and Sam's down here sell different brands of meats in their stores. :? We won't buy the meat at WalMart. Not had good luck with it.
The WalMart sells Hormel ribs, which are all enhanced and Sam's sells IBP which aren't enhanced. :? :D

Never have. I looked once, just for laughs, and everything was enhanced. I've only found unenhanced at a local Tom Thumb store. Sams may be another source, but I don't have a membership, and wife doesn't want to get one. :(

Hey Rob... you need to stock up sometime, let me know. I will take ya to Sams...

Tell her that you can save the membership fee over the year in gas alone. Also, I take Zantac for acid reflux. I was paying $15 a month for 30 day prescription. Now it's over the counter and I'm paying less than $6 for a 4 month supply!

You have to be careful, but you can save money there.

That's her big concern. Both our folks have memberships and all too often we've seen a simple trip for a few items turn into a $300 bill for those "great bargains" that they didn't need until they saw them there.

That's good to know. Tom Thumb has em on sale so may just make a trip there.

Sams and Walmart meat are not the same. Sams meat is a better quality meat and is not enhanced. Walmart meat is a cheaper cut and is pumped with solution.

The Wally Worlds down here are often a good place to buy briskets. Last I bought was Choice IBP for 1.48. That is about the only meat I buy from them other than hamburger and breakfast sausage. They usually have pumped Tyson ribs which I cant stand. Now I like pumped Hormels but Super Target is about the only place I know which got em. For comp cooking I will take pumped Hormels over the unpumped IBP's from Sam's any old day. The Hormels will give a person a much betta chance to stick some money in the pocket or add a dust collector to the pile.
