Thinking of all of you who will be affected, especially Egghead who is directly in the path. Y’all take care and let us know you’re safe. :texas:

We’re good. Landfall will be south of us in Baffin Bay, therefore we will be on the dirty side. No doubt we need the rain - our concern is the fact that we are on the dirty side. The rain started about an hour ago because it’s the outer bands, it’s on and off.

Any updates? Seems like I’m not seeing much coverage on the news. Kinda miss having the weather channel

Looks like the storm has been downgraded but still dumping lots of rain. Storm surge knocked out power to a large number of folks. Seems most of the warnings now are for tornadoes and flooding.

Lots of damage to boats and docks right on the coast from waves and surge in Corpus. Not sure but suspect there was significant damage about 50 miles south of Corpus.

Yes - National Seashore is closed for now. Visitor center needs a lot of debris cleanup and too much hazardous debris along the beach. Boards with nails, glass, metal, etc. strewn about and sticking out of the sand.

Yikes. We really enjoy that place.

Last night they mentioned two weeks to reopen the visitor center so I guess that applies to the beach as well.

Missed all this, had my head down working all weekend. Egg, glad you and the bride are well and safe.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
