History of this Forum

Being new here and just finding the place in Aug-Sept of 2007, and not having the time (nor inclination yet) to read all the posts from the past; I am not aware of where this all came from and how or why.

It does appear in reading some of the introductions of various members that yall all sorta migrated here from some previous Forum. Seems ya drifted in slowly over a few months. This leads me to assume that the "other" forum is still there..?
Also the number of non-Texas members here leads me to assume the prior Forum was not Texas specific as this one is (at least in name).

Anyhow it might be helpful to new folk to have some idea of the origin.

There are a lot of (great) folks on here from BBQ-4-U, The Texas Hunting Forum and the Texas Fishing Forum + lots and lots of others. All great forums and sites I still use today. The short answer is that I wanted a forum that represented everything Texas and BBQ and that wasnt tied to a single advertiser/sponsor. So here we are!
