Pam and I want to
THANK everyone for all the well wishes, thoughts and prayers.
I just got home from visiting Pam at the hospital. The flowers were beautiful!! and they put a big smile on Pam's face. Thanks again!!
Pam is doing great and may get to come home Friday or Saturday!
She had arterial by-passes done on her legs. She now has color in her feet and they are warm to the touch. She said it almost seems strange to be able to walk more than a few feet without pain in her hips and legs. The Dr's say a little rest and recuperation time and she be feeling like she was 20 again.
I came home from work early last Tuesday afternoon so Pam and I could go out for a quite dinner before she had to go for surgery early Wednesday morning. You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men.
I guess I still owe her a dinner.
I got out of my truck and went inside to my office and sat down to check some things and all of a sudden felt very strange. Called 911 and that's the last I remember until I woke up almost 8 hours later in the hospital hooked to all sorts of machines. They put in 2 temporary stints that are working good for now. I'm sore and very tired. The least little effort tires me out. I'm on pre-op meds and a heart monitor ( thing looks like a cell phone, I tried to answer it yesterday by mistake.
), I'll go back to the Dr's on the 20th and that's when they'll schedule my by-pass surgery for somewhere around the 2nd week of October ( what a birthday present
)
Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
